At Merrowvista you will live, learn, work, and play amidst 600 acres in the pristine Ossipee Mountains of New Hampshire<\/span>. The Merrowvista community is a vibrant gathering of people from all backgrounds who support youth in discovering and developing their own best self. Staff training for most roles will begin June 15.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Types of Positions<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

While some positions require you to live onsite (Village Leaders, for example), all roles below have the option to do so. Housing and all meals are provided.<\/p>\n

All seasonal staff roles can be used for internship credit, if needed. We are happy to work with you to shape our seasonal positions to meet your specific career goals or learning objectives. Community and School Programs Facilitator Internship<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
Help support hundreds of school and community group based youth through the fall in experiential and outdoor education residential trips. The training program is all-inclusive, so previous facilitation experience is not required. Beneficial experience can include ropes courses, environmental education, summer camps, outdoor programs, and\/or wilderness medicine certification.<\/div><\/span><\/span>

Program Area Specialists<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
Program Area Specialists are seasonal youth development professionals who support the camp program by leading swim lessons, teaching arts and crafts, instructing climbing and more.<\/div><\/span><\/span>

In-Camp Leaders (summer camp counselors) are seasonal youth development professionals who co-lead a cabin group of 10 to 12 campers and are active leaders in daily activities. In-Camp Leaders work directly with youth and help them discover their best selves.<\/div><\/span><\/span>

Four Trails Leader<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
Four Trails Leaders (summer camp counselors) are seasonal youth development professionals who co-lead a cabin group of 10 to 12 campers during backpacking and\/or canoeing trips off-site and on Merrowvista property. Trips may be 2 to 17 days in length.<\/div><\/span><\/span>

Seasonal coordinators prepare and implement summer programming, including in-camp programming for Pioneers and Seekers, the Four Trails program, and waterfront activities. They also supervise teams of village leaders and program specialists.<\/div><\/span><\/span>

social media and Office Specialist<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Social Media and Office Specialists create frequent social media posts for Instagram and Facebook. They also assist with daily incoming and outgoing mail and packages, organize and distribute camper family emails, and answer phones.<\/p><\/div><\/span><\/span>

The Food Program Team consists of assistants, specialists, and coordinators who help with food preparation, service, kitchen clean-up and dish washing to ensure healthy, safe meals for the staff and campers.<\/div><\/span><\/span>

The Health Team is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of each camper. The primary functions of the Health Team include providing first aid care, overseeing the administration of medications to campers, coordinating visits to a physician when needed, monitoring health and cleanliness standards, and keeping camper medical records organized.<\/div><\/span><\/span>
